I completed my Master Thesis worth 30 credits towards the Mechatronics Master's degree at KTH. This Master Thesis topic was supported by Scania and the work location was Scania's Smart Factory Lab in Södertälje.
In today's evolving factories, every decision made has to be the right one. The Digital Twin concept thus makes data-driven decisions in real time a possibility.
The thesis includes building a Digital Twin platform using Unity 3D where the Smart Factory is modeled along with the robots and various other equipment connected to the industrial network. The Digital Twin allows for real-time monitoring of the real factory in a digital environment. Click here to see a demo!
A short video of the Digital Twin demonstrates 3 possible user groups involved in a factory (Operators, Production Engineers, Maintenance Technician) and the user interface for each of them is different.
The Maintenance Technician is able to manipulate the ABB IRB 1200 in real time and could also see its current working state. Apart from manipulating robots, one can also monitor its state in real time as with the Yaskawa HC 10.

I worked at Voi Technologies AB, one of Sweden's most ambitious e-mobility startups during the summer of 2019 as a part time employee. Here I leveraged my skills in the field of Mechatronics.
• Diagnosing faulty scooters to find the root cause and proposing necessary fixes
• Diagnosing faulty IoT modules to find the root cause and flashing appropriate fixes
• Scooter Assembly and suggesting methods to improve production numbers
• Final quality check of the scooters before deploying them for market
